Question 1 – Where was the South Woodham Ferrers appliance and why was it not deployed? Incident 244245 Treebeard Copse, South Woodham Ferrers at 17:15 on 7th August 2024.
As a Service, we take the availability of our operational assets seriously, with the necessity to move operational crews and firefighters, enhancing availability wherever we possibly can.
The Service manages its resources, to enable our Strategic stations to be crewed in line with our current response standards and modelling for the best of our communities.
South Woodham Ferrers appliance was at the station but was not available at the time of the incident.
The quickest appliances that were available, went to the incident.
On arrival the crews requested further support.
