Initial Request:
I have been asked to contact each of the Fire and Rescue Services who are involved with the UK Search and Rescue team to request equality data from each of the services, for their staff who are part of the USAR. We are looking for the following data from each of the 15 Fire and Rescue Services, showing the gender split for the following:
• By operational rank
• Disability
• Staff by Age,
• Ethnicity
• Sexual Orientation
• Religion/Belief and No Belief
Final Response:
We have provided data according to an individual’s recorded sex, rather than their identified gender.
Figures are based upon August month-end figures. We have no current female staff working in USAR, so figures are for 18 male staff ONLY.
Data for disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation and religion are provided on a voluntary basis by the employee. Other data is based upon employee records.
