Questions and final response:

Question 1 - According to the local paper SIX fires were started in Brightlingsea in the early hours of 16th August, all of which have been classified as arson. Since there is nothing on your incident log or anywhere else can you supply me with details of what happened please. Even better, can you make an entry on the incident log for all to see.

Please see attached spreadsheet for a list of incidents that we attended on 16th August 2023 in Brightlingsea.

There were 6 incidents opened, four were closed as they were duplicates to the incidents of fire that we were attending at XX Red Barn Road and XX/XX Red Barn Road.

Our website will show all major incidents and incidents that can highlight a public safety message.

In these particular incidents, Essex Police had arrested alleged offenders and this information was updated on their website on 17th August 2023.

I provide a link to the Essex Police website which has further information on the incidents https://www.essex.police.uk/news/essex/news/news/2023/august/brightlingsea-swiftarrest-after-arson-incidents .

We hope that you find this information useful.
