As of the 29 July 2020 Essex County Fire & Rescue Service has 1393 individual employees.
2. What is your current intranet solution? (SharePoint, WordPress, Invotra, etc.)
Our current intranet solution is Pingala.
3. How long have you been using this intranet solution?
We have been using Pingala for over 10 years.
4. When is your intranet contract up for renewal?
Our intranet contract is currently on an annual renewal. However this is being reviewed.
5. What is your annual intranet budget?
We do not have a separate intranet budget, but our annual budget for media expenses is £75,000 for 2020-2021. Our intranet costs fall within this budget area and are administered by the Corporate Communications team.
6. Do you share an intranet/IT services with other organisations, if so who?
We do not share intranet/IT services with other organisations.
7. Which team and/or individual(s) are responsible for managing your intranet internally?
The Corporate Communications team manage our intranet services.
8. Are you using the Office 365 suite? If so, which applications from the suite are in use?
We use all applications from the Office 365 suite.
9 Which team and/or individual(s) are responsible for your intranet’s procurement within the organisation?
The Purchasing and Supply team are responsible for intranet procurement.
10. Is your Active Directory hosted on premise, or in the cloud?
The Active Directory is hosted in house and in the cloud.

A new digital workplace strategy is currently being drafted and will be published as soon as possible.
