Questions and final response:

Question 1- The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, came into force on 23 January 2023.

Since its implementation, how many up-to-date electronic building plans and information on the design and materials of external walls have you received in relation to high rise buildings in your jurisdiction?

Since January 2023, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service (ECFRS)have received fiftyfour submissions for floor plans and building plans. Twenty-one of these were resubmissions.

The total unique number of High-Rise Residential Buildings (HRRBs) submissions received by ECFRS since January 2023 is thirty-three.

To date, ECFRS have accepted six plans (floor plans and building plan).

Therefore, only six HRRBs have complied with Regulation 11(b) (floor plans and building plan).

Question 2 - How many up-to-date electronic building plans and information on the design and materials of the external wall did you receive in relation to high rise buildings in your jurisdiction in 2022?

To date ECFRS have received forty-eight submissions relating to the ‘design and materials of external walls’ (Regulation 5).

Therefore, forty-eight HRRB’s have complied with Regulation 11(a) within our area.
