Initial Request:
Can you please provide me with a full list of all special appliances that ECFRS have in the fleet, and each appliance's registration plate. With that, could you for each special appliance type, list where these appliances are allocated across the various fire stations in the county.
The special appliance types that I would specifically ask that you mention are listed below:
- Aerial Ladder Platform
- Water Rescue Unit (all units regardless if they have a fireboat or not - please note those which do have a boat)
- Off-Road Vehicle (applicable to the new Mercedes which will be rolled out)
- Foam Tender
- HazMat Unit
- Incident Command Unit
- Water Bowser
- Marauding Terrorist Firearms Unit/Capability
- Hose Laying Lorry
- Decontamination Ranger
- Unimog
These are only the ones that I am specifically looking for, however i'm aware that these are not all the special appliances in the fleet - therefore, please do add any more beyond this list.
Note: When it comes to the Water Rescue Units, I understand that there are also SWR squads known as 'First Responders'? In addition, could you please list these stations in the list as well. I am curious as to what these squads do - do they have their own appliance for SWR? Why are they different to the typical SWR Units such as E31 Leigh for example?
