Question 1 - How many fires caused by lithium batteries on E-bikes or E-Scooters has your fire brigade been called to?

How many people have been injured at a fire caused by lithium batteries on E-bikes or EScooters.

How many accidental deaths have been caused by fires caused by lithium batteries attended to by your fire brigade?

Are you able to provide the information above between the years 2020 and 2024?

 

We recently responded to a similar request at the beginning of March 2024.

This request has been published on our Transparency website, here is a link to the response EIR1700 Lithium Batteries .

We have checked our Incident Recording System to see if there have been further incidents since the date that the data collection for the above response took place and I can confirm that a further two incidents took place – these are as follows:
